Here we go again, huh? So It clearly took me a while to actually sit and take in wtf is going on with whatever is going on. First the speculation was Young Money, but as I listened intently myself, Drake, Wayne, and Young Chop were sub-mentioned.
I love Drake, everyone knows this, but the way Pusha T lyrically ripped into him and the other two was pretty intense. I don’t think he was really getting at them, but he definitely let them know about their individual lives.
“Contract all fucked/Explain up I guess that means you all fucked up/You signed to one niggas that signed to another niggas that’s signed to three niggas / Now that’s bad luck.” -Welp.
“F*ck you playin’ games fou? Don’t be scared, get everything you came fou/They got you talkin’ that big shit, little do you know, we don’t miss shit/ Them n*ggas usin’ you as a pawn, you see they never loaded they guns. Now you out here all by yo’self, ask Steve Jobs wealth don’t buy health, yeeeahh.” – Yeah…. this tied it all up pretty much.
“Throwin’ that flag up, runnin ‘roun’, you hot shit. Takin half of everything you get.” Wayne. Exposed.
Pusha even had it for Young Chop (Original producer for Chief Keef’s “I Dont Like” record who had much to say about Ye altering the beat.)
“You can keep your beats, n*gga, we much rather share your b*tch n*gga. B*tch n*gga.” -Respect it.
The-Dream’s “Them n*ggas ain’t down fuh yuh” hook just makes you have so much pity for these 3 dudes.
I can get into so much with this topic, but you may not want to read mad much so I will keep it as simple as I can.
It does annoy me that Drake be riding YM crazy, mainly because every time someone comes at YM he feels he has to be that front soldier. Yes I get that that is the label you are signed to, but YM is shitty and I’m sure the money/business is shady looking at the membership list growing every other month. Keep your loyalty to OVO(XO) and don’t let anyone put ANY batteries in your back including the -he said she said- and “G.O.O.D aint good enough/ya hood ain’t hood enough” because this record felt really legit. (Feeling that this track was a real ass diss track, then again, it’s Pusha T.)
And the verse itself, Exodus 23:1, “Do not spread false reports. Do not help a wicked man by being a malicious witness” I interpret it as, do not spread false information just to help someone in the wrong make a point. Seems to all fall in line to me.
And it’s clear people are in their feelings because Wayne was Lawry’s going on twitter saying, “fuk pusha t and anybody that love em.” To me, Wayne told us Pusha was talkin’ the gospel. But what if there are Pusha T and Wayne fans… so you really walked through and said “f*ck airybody?” Whatever dawgs. Wayne said he was a made man and how he should dust something, but Jay explained, “made men ain’t suppose to make statements.” Hmm.. I’ll go with the guy who’s more Frank Lucas than Ludacris.
Ennywehdoe, shouts to Manny Fresh on the production of Cruel Summer (oh yah! ) and in the words of that pretty muhfudger, “rap game f*ck up boheeyy. F*ck you think I rap fo’?
