[Brand New Guys] AMEN (A. Mission.Endin.Neva)

Some brand new guys peeking out of Philly are telling the world now that they are here, there is no stopping the grind. Δ|MΣΝ (A.M.E.N), consisting of five Philly young bouls (Walker, Chief, Hyghed, Boodha Bond, and producer, KRich) step outside of the regular sound from Philly-based rappers with crafty flows and a different bounce. Recently, they dropped the new single, Sno’Dat” from the upcoming project,  Mission 1: Stand For Somethin’ releasing the 25th of this month. Also understand that AMEN isn’t just a music group, it’s a brand. The gentlemen have already made some noise with their dope AMEN shirts and crewnecks. Check some of the merch out on Instagram

Snow Dat link after the jump.

[Visual] MRAZ x Flatbush Zombies

Produced by Erick Arc Elliott (duh), Flatbush Zombies release the video for MRAZ. Directed by Phillip T. Annand, the visual embodies the nature of the psychedelic trippies.  It’s looking like a good year for the Zombies especially since Meech believes they “entered the game at re-mark-a-ble tiiiimin'”. I love Juice’s hair right now and though we know Erick is dope on production, I’d appreciate if he’d spit more. He’s nice. Hopefully I’ll get my wish on their upcoming mixtape, Better off DEAD.

If you’ve never seen Flatbush Zombies live… I’d recommend it.

“Trippy is as trippy does.”

[Bars of the Day] More Gangsta Music] Cam x Juelz

cam

Now… You can neeeeeeeeeeever pull Dipset music out the Barney bag without taking a piece of one of my favorite albums EVER, Purple Haze. We were already fiended for the drop for a full year  before it was actually released. Today’s tune is More Gangsta Music ft. Juelz. I remember hearing the ” up down left right chea! chea! chea! chea!” on a Hot 97 Freestyle with Juelz and JR ’03 over Youngbloodz “Damn!”. Maaaannnnnnn if you have never heard it, I’d advise you to. Ennywehdoe, I had to pull from Juelz and Cam for bars for today because the song is just too great to leave one out. Biggggg shouts to HeatMakerz, bruh.

Julez:

I go dough let around, my hoe slow head around
They DTP’s deep throat professionals/
My D.I.P.’s we so professional
Got weed, coke, and ecstacy, lean, dope, and wet to sale/
We blow jars of the dank, like Bob Marley was wake
Real shot-ta!, fuck ya foreign exchange
I’m movin movin movin (jeah!)
Y’all losin losin losin (aye!)

Killa:

I chill though, pippin in the Range
All this ice an’ I’m ashamed, look like lightnin’ in the chain/
Who was first that moved wit they fam? (who)
Ask you, tattoos on they hand? (who)
Slang all the white? (who) cruise wit the tan? (who)
Pink on they back? (who) blue in they van? (who)
Yellow on his ear? (who) steam on the rock ?(who)
Purple in the air?(who) green in his pocket?

Cam had a whole different take on Coke Rap and was one of the best to break down his trendsetting ways, lawsuits, and all competitors into a complete word web. To understand Cam, is to understand the movement. lol They all rapped similar.

[Verse of the Day] One Minute Man Remix x Jay-Z

Today I had to change the bars to a verse for Hov’s Day. The early 2000’s was live for hip-hop and Jay was jumpin on tracks and murdering them (Supa Ugly dropped the end of 2001.. ughh!) Missy was holding it down heavy and when One Minute Man dropped, it was spinning nonstop. Jay came *pause* on the remix and switched the whole connotation of a “one minute man” and how smooth was that?! Shouts to my sweets Zack (cant think of your twitter name -_-) for him putting this tune in my ear.

Fifty grand I get this on one take…
Look, I’m not tryin to give you love and affection (uh-huh)
I’m tryin to give you sixty seconds of perfection (uh-huh)/
I’m tryin to give you cabfare and directions
Get ya Independent ass out of here – QUESTION?/
I’m not your man, not Ralph Tresvant
Not Ronnie Romance.. no ma/
I’m tryin to hit you then put you in the middle of the round
like I’m Roberto Duran.. no mas/
Six A.M. another chick in the house (put your hands up)
6:15 another chick kicked you out (put your hands up)/
Spend one minute tryin to dig her out
The other fourteen tryin to “put it in her mouth”/
The dick too chubby, too much’ll make you love me
Now be a nice wifey and run home to your hubby/
Cause we, both knowin what we doin is wrong
Don’t forget to put your ring back on/

[Watch Out Now] Shawn Morris

Harlem’s own Shawn Morris took some time out of his day to speak with the Q Gawd and AVision Magazine about his vision, his influences, and why Phli Hi Club is the next to put in work. Make sure to cop

AVision’s TAKEOVER  Issue and read Shawn Morris full interview on Magcloud.

Hear Shawn Morris

Getting off the F train at 57th street, the breeze was heavy and cold. Although it’s was June 5, it feels like the first week of October. Thankfully, there was a Starbucks on the corner for warmth and a customer friendly outlet. My phone is on its last and I am linking up with Shawn Morris. After ten minutes and a phone battery charge of 89%, I spot the young Harlem dude walking into Chase Bank through 6th avenue’s crowded street. I text him letting him know I seen him. You’d know Shawn and I were cool before the interview because his first response is, “you the feds? Lol” Ha! I could see how that could be a little lurky. After realizing that I wasn’t the Matlock, Shawn and I meet at the corner to go to Chipotle.

[Bars of the Day] Back Down – 50 Cent

“Any living thing that cannot co-exist with the kid
Must decease existin’ little nigga now listen/
Yo mami, yo papi, that bitch you chasin’
Ya little dirty ass kids, I’ll fuckin erase them/
Your success is not enough, you wanna be hard
Knowin’ that, you get knocked, you get fucked in the yard/
Youza poptart sweetheart, you soft in the middle
I eatcha for breakfast, the watch was an exchange for your necklace/”

In correlation to the whatever-the-hell-you-wanna-call-it between Fif and French Montana, I had to bring out one of the top career ending rap songs in history. After hearing “Back Down” you either had to be cracking up or feeling extremely sorry for Ja Rule. The song from beginning to end (yes, including the skit with the drag, holllaa!) 50 ripped Ja Rule’s life in 4 minutes and 3 seconds. Just a little reminder for those who seem to easily forget. Murda Inc. had hiiiitttsss! They were running the game for a minute to the point where we really were accepting Ashanti’s vocals a lot more and letting Ja Rule breathe strained harmonies on  records.  “It’s Murdaaaaaa” was the chant, Irv was winning and Ja was coming out large….

…and then there was 50. Ha! It got silent, G-Unit came through with no limits and Murda Inc. was murdered. Now Ja is locked up talmbout he’s having an awesome time and meeting amazing people. ( .__.   ) …

Bottom line, anyone coming for 50 should take heed to the history. However I would love to see Curtis show out. One time for “Get Rich or Die Tryin” hunger.

*grabs popcorn*
