Blue Ivy Watches the Throne

Blue Ivy Watches the Throne

This picture speaks for itself.

Tons of rumors have been going around that Beyoncé is possibly pregnant with her second child. Blue Ivy reminds us that there is only room for 1 in her parents’ lives… at least for now. This little personalized chair was made for the Princess of Hip-Hop while she’s on tour for her mom’s Mrs. Carter World Tour.

(I’m just happy that someone finally did my little cousin’s hair and put her in some pink! She was starting to look very tomboyish. Always cute nonetheless.)

[Visual] MRAZ x Flatbush Zombies

Produced by Erick Arc Elliott (duh), Flatbush Zombies release the video for MRAZ. Directed by Phillip T. Annand, the visual embodies the nature of the psychedelic trippies.  It’s looking like a good year for the Zombies especially since Meech believes they “entered the game at re-mark-a-ble tiiiimin'”. I love Juice’s hair right now and though we know Erick is dope on production, I’d appreciate if he’d spit more. He’s nice. Hopefully I’ll get my wish on their upcoming mixtape, Better off DEAD.

If you’ve never seen Flatbush Zombies live… I’d recommend it.

[Verse of the Day] You Make Me Say x JR Writer

Still on my Dipset Music this week with the Dominican Gawd himself, JR Writer.  After hearing him on Hot 97 freestyles I was hooked. “What Set You Claim” really had me by the ears and the first couple Writer’s Block mixtapes were good money. Today’s tune is “You Make Me Say” from More Than Music Vol. 1 and though it is pretty short, it was just enough to have me open back then.(Shouts to the HeatMakerz)  JR spits straight truth to a young tender explaining how he can make her life all that she could imagine very easily. Definitely on of my favorite songs ever. I chose the 2nd verse though they are both nice. Flow is perfect and lyrics are dope. Something about hip-hop lust/relations songs that just win. Hey, Ja Rule beasted in that genre.

Now we could squeez and cruise, Throw on the visa shoes
Drop the loser, pick the winner, Even though you seem confused/
not being rude but ma, you need a dude- to take you out to B-B-Q’s
I’ll take you out to B-B-Q’s /
Show you the finer things, Mr. K’s, Mr. Chows
sit and chow. Pour some wine, sip Crystal/
It’s the style, sit a while, Talk a sec, talking sex
It’s just foul. I know it’s been a while, Go ahead, grin and smile.
He go and hit Canal, talking bout he bought you  ice.
Like “ it’s the thought that counts.
Don’t worry about the cost of price”/
Then he look you in ya face, like “of course it’s ice”
Girl come get with baller, I could pay your mortgage twice /
And that’s four for life, Naw that’s more for life
Go ahead and board your flight We hittin’ the resort tonight,/
The results tonight  Will be me and you,
seeing you  Peek-a-Boo, come here, turn off the lights

[Bars of the Day] Santana’s Town Part 2 x Julez Santana

I have always been the  biggest Dipset fan and since  Ashani Slick Jackson (BarrelhouseBKLYN)  and I were bumping one of the best diss tracks in hip-hop, “You Gotta Love It” (Cam ft. Max B diss towards Jay-Z if you aren’t hipped),  I’ve been having random Dipset songs in my head. This week’s first song is Santana’s Town Part 2  off of The Diplomats More Than Music Vol. 1 album. Though it wasn’t as crazzzyyyy as part one, it’s still a song I know word for word. Develop was on the beat (ugh.. Dipset production team back then >>>>>>>>>) and Juelz was spitting in the regular bounce flow as usual.

in the coupe I’m stuntin’, with no roof I’m stuntin’
my hoes back that ass up like I’m Luke or somethin’ Daddy Duke or somethin’/
2 live crew or somethin’ they- pop that pussy pop! pop! that pussy baby.
I’m a rockin’ rollin’ rollin’ rockin’ hold ’em poppin’/
more shots than a shook can of soda poppin’. now how that taste man? in your face man.
that was personal. imagine for some cake, damn!
